Branden's 6th Birthday!!!

Branden had been waiting to turn 6 years old since last September 9th when Donivan had his 6th birthday! February 6th finally came and we rarely do BIG birthday parties away from home but we decided to splurg and invite the whole family and a few of his friends to go bowling. We had a great time!

These little 6 year old boys could barely handle their 6 pound balls but with bumpers up, they got a few spares and strikes once they got the ball rolling down the lane.

It sure was fun cheering each other on!

Even the BIG kiddos had FUN!

A 6th birthday is not complete without SpongeBob!

BOYS . . . BOYS . . . BOYS . . . BOYS!!!!

There's that about small sons that quite unpins a mother's poise,
for even when they're quiet, she can hear them thinking noise!

My boys, Branden & Donivan; and my grandsons, Braxton, Sam & Peyton.

Trouble is brewing and noses go on the wall!

Boys are so noisey!!!

Braxton, how did you climb up there?

And then they grow up and become men and you couldn't be any happier!!!

Happy Birthday Mark!

Happy Birthday to our sweet husband, father and grandfather! Mark turned 51 on January 2nd and the best part of his day was celebrating with all of his family!

WE HAVE EGGS!!! finally

Ten years ago when we moved into our home, we had a wonderful neighbor who gave us chickens that were already producing eggs. A monsoon storm blew through the neighborhood and blew our birds to "who knows where"? Eight years later we decided to give it a try again. After many months of patiently growing them from tiny chicks to chickens, our birds were finally mature enough to begin laying eggs. One problem - we had a dog that decided he wanted to eat those chickens! So off to the dogpound we went to deposit a "naughty" dog (which made mom very happy) and then we headed to the farm store and we started all over again with little tiny chicks. We finally had our first eggs in January. Mark and the little guys were so excited that they went down to the feed store and bought 10 more little chickens. They are growing on the back patio and will soon be ready to join the big chicks!
WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK DO CHICKENS HATE THE MOST?????
FRY DAY!!!!

DONIVAN LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH

When Donivan joined our family as a 2 year old, he had lots of tooth decay and had 4 of his top teeth pulled but there is nothing quite as exciting as loosing that first bottom tooth. It had been quite a while since the tooth fairy had come to visit our home! In fact we were worried that she would have forgotten where we lived but she didn't disappoint us! In fact Dad was still up when she arrived and she couldn't find the tooth so Dad had to show her where it was. She left a one dollar bill and flew on her way!
Thanks tooth fairy and we will see you when Branden looses his first tooth!

Rachelle - THAT'S MY GIRL!!!

Rachelle has been blessed with a talent for music. She started playing the piano when she was 8 years old. She started teaching piano lessons and opened her piano studio when she turned 12. She currently teaches 17 students per week, squeezing them in between high school, nannying and sports. This is Rachelle and Grace, one of her students at her annual Christmas recital in 2009. She loves her students and enjoys listening to them perform whether it be in a recital or as a special number in church!
She spends many hours each day practicing and playing the piano. She recently auditioned for regional choir and made 7th chair in the soprano section. There were only 4 points between her as 7th chair and the young lady that made 1st chair.
CONGRATULATIONS MY PRETTY GIRL!!!
