Ryan & Kiley

It is OFFICIAL!!! March 10th is the date and we couldn't be happier

Tanner and "Homecoming"

I honestly can't believe that the first baby of this family, or I should say the baby of the older part of this family is a senior this year! Seriously, why did those busy years have to pass so quickly!

What a wonderful bunch of kiddos that had a great time!

Progress on OUR Gilbert Temple

We continue to be so excited about OUR Gilbert Temple that is in the making! I drive the boys by often just so they can see the progress. I take every opportunity to plant seeds in their hearts of "going inside there someday!" Here are the latest pictures on the progress.

I have heard that the exterior is suppose to be finished by the end of 2011 and thats only 2 1/2 months away! HURRY, HURRY, HURRY!!! Next year, 2012 they will be hard at work on the inside with a dedication planned for early 2013.

We are soooooo excited!

It was a busy day!

That particular day started very early. Kyle dropped Harper off a little after 5:00 a.m. and the day just kept going and going. I looked down at my feet sometime in the late afternoon and noticed something very strange!

WOW!!!

Boys LOVE to camp!

A camping trip with some of the Lee boys!

I just LOVE to see them all together doing what they LOVE most, camping, fishing, shooting and baseball! But most of all they just LOVE being together!

Preschool with Braxton

Jenna traveled to New York with her mom and sister so Mark and I got to attend Braxton's Preschool Party. It was loads of fun being there as "grandparents" and not the oldest parents in the class! Mark helped out with the craft activity.

Snack time that day included a tray full of veges. Lots of the little kiddos were crying because they didn't want veges!!! (What mother would ever bring veges for a preschool snack????) The preschool teacher, Mrs. Smith, was bound and determined that the children would eat ALL their snacks that day! I found the ranch dressing, put it on Brax's plate and told him to dip the veges in and lick off the dressing. Then the teacher walked away, I quickly threw his plate in the trash and said, "ALL Done, we were the first!!!" You can tell I have been around the block a few times!

Then we quickly hustled over and started the limbo dance! Braxton was much more flexible than me! ☺

As I was leaving and walking down the hallway, I noticed this cute poster of all of Brax's favorites!

What a FUN morning it was!

It was a very special day indeed!

A new CUB SCOUT!

Isn't this just the cutest Cub Scout ever!

And here we are at our first pack meeting!

HEELLOO fellow scouters! We are back!

It's GREAT to be 8!

Donivan's turned eight years old on September 9th. Unfortunately for him, it was a busy crazy day. We had a famlee wedding at the temple of Megan, our niece and then Mom and Dad were off to a Stake 11 year-old campout! (Who planned that anyways!) Sooooo Sunday evening we had Braxton and Merek come over and we had a small celebration! The big celebration happened a week later on his baptism day!

Of course, it wouldn't be an 8th birthday without all of the new cub scout stuff! (more scout pictures to come!)

Happy Birthday Donivan! We are so happy you are part of our famlee!

2011 Spring Garden

When we purchased our home 11 years ago, I never knew it would be so much work! However, during the Spring time, I LOVE to go outside and admire all the hard work that the guys do out back. Let me show you how hard Mark and the boys have worked this Spring. We now have 11 chickens laying and average about 8 eggs per day! 4 more will be ready to lay in late summer.
Mark has a great relationship with his chickens. They LOVE him and when they are out roaming, they follow him all over the yard. He takes great care of their little home.

This is our spring garden that we are hoping will produce lots of great vegetables to eat throughout the summer months.

We recently butchered our winter pig and these two are the newest smelly members of our family. They should be ready for the butcher shop right before Christmas!

Here are Branden and Donivan's berry plants. There are blackberry, strawberry and raspberry plants.

These are the lucky chickens who get to roam and take care of unwanted bugs. They produce eggs and leave them in the funniest places! Its an egg hunt every day!!!

This is my favorite chicken. I just love her colors. I just want to stuff her and display her in my kitchen! (Mark doesn't think that is such a great idea!)

These are the newest fruit trees. Two apples, two apricots and one plum! BTW - we are picking and canning the peaches this week! Come by and pick yourself some!

This is a new home for these chickens. We have had lots of scorpions in this part of our yard so Mark built a little area and put some of the chickens here to eat them. They squawk all day long because they miss their buddies in the back of the yard BUT they are taking good care of those nasty scorpions!

Our first zucchini of the season with many more to come!

It was an exciting day when we got our first white egg!

Mark LOVES the fact that all of his hard work is finally paying off and the kids come to visit every week and go home with eggs, fruit and someday soon, vegetables!
